Trapped!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
– Mark Twain

I am currently imprisoned within my room. My housemates have exiled me here from downstairs, and I’m not allowed out until they have finished with their “preparations”. I went out shopping today, and they thought I was going to be gone longer than I actually was. I don’t know what they are doing exactly, but whatever it is, I am looking forward to it.
So now, being trapped up here in my room, I’ve got an excuse to write about my weekend. Last Friday Nikkie gave me a lift down to my cousin’s house in Milton Keynes. Nikkie was going home for the weekend, and her place is only about 40 minutes from my cousin’s so it wasn’t that much out of her way at all. My cousin Simone is exactly ten years older than me, and so we were going to have a combined birthday celebration over the weekend before our actual birthdays.
We drank stupid amounts, ate a lot of cake, and had heaps of fun.
Then on Monday I came home.
Sorry for being so abrupt, but I’ve been granted my freedom! ^_^

  1. Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what’s to come. I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn’t have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves. for growing up.
